Annamae Todd

	Annamae Todd, age 87, of Hannibal, Mo., formerly of Pinckneyville, died Friday, February 8, 2002 at 9:57 p.m. in the Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Palmyra, Mo.
	Annamae was born in Oakdale on February 10, 1914, the daughter of Herman and Mary Maben (Craig) Todd.
	Annamae graduated from SIU-C with a B.A., then completed her M.A. degree in 1956.  She began her teaching career in a one-room country school before coming to Pinckneyville Junior High School in 1940, where she taught language arts and P.E.  She served as Assistant County Superintendent of Schools under Phillip Provart from 1953 to 1975, when she retired.
	She was a member of several honorary educational societies.  She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi while at SIU, a charter member of Beta Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, joining in 1956, finally serving as a reserve member, a member of the Illinois Education Association, a former member of the Pinckneyville Woman's Club and Pinckneyville Business and Professional Women.
	Annamae was a member of the Pinckneyville First Presbyterian Church where she served as a church treasurer and as an elder.
	Survivors include two nephews:  Dr. Richard R. Todd of Hannibal, Mo. and Donald Todd of Lincoln; a niece:  Jean Todd Hill of Red Bud; two great nephews:  Rev. Chuck Todd and Todd Hill; three great-nieces:  Elizabeth Cunningham, Lauri Biethman and Natasha Todd; two great-great-nephews and three great-great-nieces.
	Friends called at the First Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, on Thursday, February 14, 2002 from 9 a.m. until services.
	Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Reverends Dick Todd, Chuck Todd and Tom Hobson officiating.  Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, Ill.
	Memorials may be made to the church or the Alzheimer's Association.
